The electric muscle cars of today can provide the same thrill as a classic car, but without the need for emissions or a large-capacity engine. We looked at the Challenger coupe and the Dodge Charger sedan, as well as the EQE AMG sedan. The new Xing transmission adapter was also revealed. We hope this will interest you as well. Read on to learn more!
Dodge Charger sedan
The electric Dodge Charger sedan could become a reality in as little as two years. The car will be based on a STLA Large chassis, which is capable of supporting internal-combustion, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric powertrains. Although the new Charger is a well-known name, its electric prowess remains a mystery. What is it that makes it stand out from the rest?

Dodge Challenger coupe
Dodge's next generation of battery-electric muscle cars is here. The brand is known for its V8 engines and gas-fed horsepower, but with the advent of electric power, the company can finally offer a battery-electric muscle car to customers. This is a big deal for EV drivers, as electric muscle cars do not require rear-wheel drives, noisy exhausts, or gas-guzzling performance. And while most of the presentation focused on the electric cars, there was one small teaser that seemed to give a glimpse of what's coming. The battery-electric muscle car was shown doing a burnout in the typical on-brand display.
Electric sedan EQE AMG
The EQE isn’t your typical electric car in terms performance. A dual-motor motor setup gives the AMG EQE 617 hp. The range is 469 miles. The AMG Dynamic Plus Package will give it 677 horsepower and 738 pounds of torque. The EQE will achieve speeds of 149 mph, being an electric sedan.
Xing transmission adapter
Xing successfully converted a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro to an electric vehicle. The entire system from the battery system to transmission is Lego-like and can be fitted with any GM LS transmission. This single motor produces 320 horsepower and could be used as a proof-of-concept for electric muscle cars. Xing plans to reveal its fully electric muscle vehicle at the SEMA Show, November.
Maserati GranTurismo
The Maserati GranTurismo will become the first electric car. Maserati Mirafiori's production facility will make the new electric car. It will feature lightweight multi-material architecture and an electronic drive system. The new electric Maserati will be a great addition to Maserati's luxury line of sports cars.

Dodge's electric musclecar
Up until now, Dodge Charger has been a competitor in muscle car markets, rivaling the best. Dodge's place in this segment has only grown since the 1970 introduction of the Challenger. These cars are coveted for their powerful V8 engines and power. Fans were mixed when Dodge announced they would electrify muscle cars. After seeing the concept car, however, they realized that there was an opportunity to improve the current muscle car models.
FAQ
How long is an automotive mechanic apprenticeship
A three-year apprenticeship in automotive mechanics takes. It includes two years of school and two years as an apprentice. The first year of training is spent in the trade. This includes theory and practical skills as well as safety procedures. This year, you will also learn how to safely and efficiently use tools. After you have completed the first year of training, you will be able to spend an additional year on-the job learning different trades. You'll have the opportunity to attend formal courses during these periods too.
The last year of the program is dedicated to gaining certification and qualifications in the field. These include NVQs. They are awarded after passing exams on specific topics within the industry. Additionally, HNCs are Higher National Certificates that cover general subjects such management, customer service, and business administration. For those interested in pursuing certain trades, City & Guilds certificates are available.
What length is an automotive course?
An automotive course lasts for three years.
The first year is spent on theory, learning all about cars. The second year is spent on practical training where you learn how to drive, fix engines, and do other mechanical jobs around the car. The last year of your training is spent on practical training, where you learn how to fix real-world problems.
What are the different types of jobs available in car mechanic?
There are three main areas of employment for car mechanics:
-
Automotive repair shops
-
Dealerships
-
Independent garages
Automotive repair shops
This is the place most people begin to consider becoming mechanics. It's actually the easiest way to start. Either you can work in a shop that is owned by another person or start your own business.
If you are interested in working at a shop you will need to apply for membership to a union. After being accepted into the union, the union will provide training.
After the training, you will be ready to go and start your job.
Registering with the government is required if you intend to open a garage. After you have registered, you will need to meet certain standards.
You will receive a license to run your garage once you have registered.
Your license allows you to sell spare parts and make minor repairs. It won't permit you to fix serious engine problems.
In addition to selling spare parts, you'll also be expected to offer advice and guidance to customers.
Dealership jobs
Most dealerships employ mechanics who specialize in one area of the car. For instance, they may only be qualified to fix brakes or change tires.
Some dealerships hire general mechanics to handle all aspects of car repair.
Many of these positions require that applicants undergo training before they are allowed to work. This means employers can choose which candidates are best suited for their role.
Some dealerships even recruit graduates straight from university. These graduates already have a basic understanding of mechanical engineering, so they are able to learn all about cars.
Independent garages
Independent garages do not belong to any dealership. Instead, independent garages tend to concentrate on providing high-quality services.
Independent garages can pay higher wages because they aren't associated with any company. As a result, these jobs are generally better paid than those at dealerships.
Independent garages don't necessarily make for better work environments. Many business owners prefer to own their businesses and not delegate the responsibility to others.
This could lead to you working long hours with little control over your day.
Also, expect to make lower wages than if your job was at a dealership.
There are many jobs that can be switched between. You can switch jobs easily if you are interested in working at a dealership. Simply ask your employer if they would be open to hiring you as a mechanic.
Or, if your dream is to work for an independent garage you can contact the owner directly.
Finding a new job is not always easy. You can earn more depending on many other factors.
For example, the type of vehicle you repair and whether you charge extra for labor.

How To
How to Become an Automotive Technician
An automotive technician is responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair. He/she works at car dealerships, auto shops, garages, service centers, etc. He/she assists customers in fixing their cars, trucks or motorcycles. An automotive technician must know how to diagnose problems and perform repairs efficiently, safely, accurately, quickly, and correctly.
A person who wants to work as an automotive technician should first obtain an associate degree from a vocational school. After completing this program, he/she will need to pass the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence's (ASE) certification exam. ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The ASE certification test consists two sections. The first section tests the ability to use mechanical knowledge. The second section tests the ability to apply practical skills. To pass the test, you will need to visit an authorized testing location. These testing sites can be found online and through your local dealer.
After passing the test, a candidate must pass an examination in order to be licensed as an automotive technician. It varies depending on the location of the applicant. Some states require that applicants attend a training class, while others allow them freedom to study at their own pace. Some states permit technicians to work immediately after they are granted their license. Others require them to wait at least six consecutive months before they can be licensed.
Apply to your local dealership to become an automotive technician. Most new employees begin as apprentices once they are hired. Apprenticeship programs typically last three to four years. During this time, a student learns how to perform basic repairs, such as changing oil, adjusting brakes, replacing tires, cleaning spark plugs, inspecting engine compartments, and performing routine maintenance. Advanced repairs can be done by some students, including replacing shocks, installing air filters and repairing engines. Classes are offered by most schools during regular business hours. However, some schools offer evening classes if needed.
After completing an apprenticeship, a student becomes a journeyman. Journeymen can spend up to five years learning how major systems work, including transmissions, differentials. They also learn how to adjust steering gear and suspensions. They are also taught how to troubleshoot electrical components and remanufacture engines. Many employers prefer to hire Journeymen because they understand the job well.
Candidates who pass the required exams are eligible for a license. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were almost 1.7 million available jobs in the automotive mechanic field in 2010. This figure is expected to rise 18 percent between 2009-2020. If a candidate decides to open his/her own shop, he/she should prepare to invest many thousands of dollars in equipment and supplies.
Many factors affect the automotive technician's salary, including location, education, experience, and employer type. An average salary for a jobless individual is $20,000 per annum. A person with only a high-school diploma could make around $21,000 annually. A bachelor's degree is equivalent to approximately $24,000 annually. Technicians with a bachelor’s degree made about $27,000 annually. Master's degree holders make around $32,000 annually. Salary increases can be common. A professional who earns less that $30,000 today could reasonably expect a $40,000 increase in the next few decades.
